With exam season fast approaching, our 6th formers are working hard to finalise any unfinished work from their vocational programmes whilst preparing themselves with whatever academic revision they can squeeze in.
Congratulations to Owen who passed the “Speaking and Listening” part of his Functional Skills Level 2 English qualification. Owen gave a 7-minute presentation to the rest of his class covering fault finding and diagnosis of a non-running go kart. He backed up his presentation with a Power-Point and examples of damaged parts sourced from our Motor Vehicle workshop. However, he stole the show when he facilitated the discussion on whether it is ethical to use current methods to kill livestock for food. This topic certainly stirred up the debate with the rest of our class and I think it would still be continuing now if we did not run out of time!
